MIKI MALLO

IMG_4103 edited1.JPG

When Miki Mallo, at the age of 15, heard the didgeridoo for the first time on Jamiroquai's album Emergency On Planet Earth, it was love at first listen, until then he never had anything so clear in his life: he wanted to play that instrument.

Over time, he felt the need to expand his musical creativity with the help of other instruments such as mouth harps, percussions, beatbox, and electric bass, which have given him a wide range of sound possibilities.

Miki Mallo has recorded three demos, has performed at the Spanish didgeridoo festival Festribalico, has been a member of the band Tropical Shaman, and part of the didgeridoo duo Miki & Jozz. He also participated in the didgeridoo battles (Didg to Didg) organized in France, both alone and in duo format with Jozz.

In addition, he has collaborated with numerous and varied artists such as DimenSound (emotional music duo), Stiff Cats (hard rock blues), Overflow (funk, jazz, hip-hop, reggae), singer-songwriters Ian Sala and Luistófoles or rappers Alba G and DEL.

Additionally, he has participated in projects where music was one more element of the whole. For example, he was the resident musician of the live writing jams Escritura En Vivo that were regularly held in cultural spaces in Barcelona, he was in charge of the music in several Ecstatic Dance in that same city and participated in the Cabaret Ángeles y Demonios of La Nau Espacial in Glòries.

From 2019 to 2023, Miki Mallo took a break from his musical activity to focus on finishing his PhD in environmental sciences and marine ecology. Once he has acquired the title of Doctor, he decides to return to his native Ibiza to focus on his new musical projects: Morpheus' Madness Mission and Daydreaming Morpheus.
